ABOUT US
We created Ó Cualann because we believed Ireland was in need of an initiative to deliver affordable and fully-integrated housing.
Today Ireland not only has a housing supply problem, but an affordability crisis. We build affordable homes by getting support from local authorities for discounted land and development levies waived.
We work with local authorities, Approved Housing Bodies, state agencies, community-led housing groups and our partners to provide permanently affordable homes in mixed income and mixed tenure sustainable communities throughout Ireland, for those people who are unable to buy or rent appropriate accommodation on the open market.
Collaborating and partnering with these groups allows us to secure land at a discounted rate. We negotiate reduced development levies, where possible, and we apply a 5% margin, resulting in the delivery of truly affordable houses for sale and for rent.

Integrated housing, where private affordable housing and social housing are mixed, has a transformative effect on wider societal issues over the medium to longer term. Affordable housing, professionally managed, can play a key role in resolving the housing crisis in Ireland.
